Achillée, Pépin Blanc NV

With regional winemaking in the family going back 400 years, the team at Achillée are experts on the grapes Alsace grows best. The name for the winery comes from a yarrow which is used in biodynamic winemaking and grows in abundance on the farm, with the Achillée winery also boasting the title of being the largest building made of straw in Europe. Pépin Blanc NV is a cross-vintage blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Blanc. Incredibly vibrant and fruit-driven on the nose it bursts with notes of ripe peach, elderflower, lychee and white pepper. The palate is rich, yet silky with a real depth of tropical, spicy flavour. An absolute pleasure to drink and one of our favourite natural white wines; paired best with soft cheese or creamy sauces.
